JEANNE  MEYER

Jeanne M. Meyer (formerly Jeanne DeVincenzi) is a real estate and business lawyer who works almost exclusively with wine industry clients. For over 25 years, Jeanne has represented buyers, sellers, investors, lenders and others in connection with the purchase and sale of wineries, wine brands and vineyards.

Jeanne has significant experience structuring transactions, negotiating terms, conducting due diligence and guiding clients through the complex land use, licensing, real estate and corporate issues that arise in wine-related deals. She regularly assists clients with issues related to financing, construction projects, easements, lot line adjustments and other real property matters; counsels them on the formation and operation of joint ventures, limited liability companies, partnerships and corporations; and negotiates and drafts custom crush, alternating proprietorship, winemaker consulting, grape purchase, brokerage, distribution and employment agreements.

Jeanne was born and raised near Chicago, Illinois, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and her law degree magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago. She began her legal career at Altheimer Gray in Chicago, and subsequently joined the San Francisco-based firm of Farella Braun + Martel, where she worked primarily in the firm’s St. Helena office. Thereafter Jeanne was a partner at Meyer Block LLP until starting her own law practice.

Jeanne has served on the local school board, several nonprofit organizations, and remains an active member of the community. She currently lives in Napa but spends as much of her time as possible traveling the world with her significant other and her three adult daughters.
